Tell-a-Friend About the Naval Academy Action

Fill out the form below to email the following letter to a friend.

Dear ______________,

(Your name) wants you to know about the Equality Ride to the Naval Academy. On Friday, October 21, buses will transport concerned people from the Human Rights Campaign building in Washington, D.C. to the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland to take a stand against the military’s “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, which bans the enlistment of openly gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender midshipmen.

Please take a moment to read about the direct action online at www.equalityride.com/navy. There you will learn about the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and how it is being enforced at the Naval Academy.

After you are done reading about the discrimination that is taking place, please take the time to seriously consider being a part of those who are taking a stand against it. Consider registering for the event online and make the commitment to stand for justice with others on Friday, October 21.

By registering for the action and standing with us on the 21st, you will be defending the equality of GLBT people and be making clear that government funded and sanctioned discrimination is never okay.

Sincerely,

Jacob Reitan, jake@equalityride.com
Equality Ride Coordinator
